Senior Turf · Season 2026-27
Avondale Heights Cricket Club is seeking an experienced playing coach to continue the rebuild of our senior turf program.
We have invested heavily in our junior pathways and that work is paying off — a talented group of young players has now made the step up to senior turf cricket and they are ready to be led.
The right person will still have competitive cricket to offer on the field, combined with the experience and temperament to develop the players around them. This is a genuine opportunity to shape the culture and direction of a club that is on the rise.
What we're looking for:

Proven senior turf playing experience
Coaching background or accreditation (preferred)
Ability to lead on and off the field
Experience mentoring young and developing players
Commitment to a multi-season rebuild
Strong communicator with a positive team culture

Responsibilities include:

Playing and coaching in the 1st or 2nd XI
Running pre-season and in-season training
Working with the committee on player development and selection
Providing game-day tactical direction
