Braintree CC

Ever since its formation in 1879, Braintree Cricket Club has been at the forefront of the cricket scene in North Essex. Although it's ground is slightly tucked away it is just minutes from the town centre and easily accessible to the local community with ample parking and a vibrant social atmosphere.

The club currently fields 2 senior sides on a Saturday in the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties League - the 1st XI competing in Div 2 and the 2nd XI in Div 6. We also run a very successful Youth section with a number of different age groups competing as well as Kwik Cricket, All Stars and Dynamo's for the younger players. 2022 saw the launch of a women's softball team which we are very excited about and are working with Essex County Cricket Club to get this established and progressed.

We don't lock our kit away in the winter as we have 2 sides competing in Div 1 of the Braintree District Indoor Cricket League where we have enjoyed huge success over the years and been Essex County Champions on 5 occasions.
