About Carnegie Cricket Club
With seven Senior Men’s Turf teams, one Senior Women’s team, 9 Junior mixed teams, and a thriving Blasters program the ‘Neggie is in action from morning to night on both days of any given weekend and training every week night. You’ll enjoy a welcoming atmosphere, access to professional coaching and an active social environment.
Our home ground at Koornang Park is a delightful place to watch or play cricket and features superb facilities. We have a second turf ground at Lord Reserve, a stone’s throw away, and our junior teams play on both turf and synthetic wickets.
Carnegie is affiliated with three associations: Cricket Southern Bayside (CSB), the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA), and Inner South East Cricket (ISEC).
Our senior men;s 1st XI plays in CSB Division 1, our 2nd XI in CSB Div4 and our 3rds play in CSB Div 5 – all with a mixture of one- and two-day games. Our 4ths are in Div 8 (social, great for junior development and those more… experienced… players – just 35 overs, pink ball, coloured clothes, early finish!). All CSB teams play on turf, and standards are very competitive, ensuring great cricket every single week.
On Sundays we play in MCA A Sunday grade, C Sunday grade (both 45 overs) and D Grade Sunday (40 overs a side, with a focus on Junior development and often home to “dads and lads”). MCA competitions are all one-day games on turf.
Our Senior Women's side plays in the Cricket Southern Bayside competition and after 7 successful seasons took a break in 2025/26. However they will be back better than ever in 2026/27.
For our juniors we offer teams in the ISEC at U/11, U/13, U/15 and U/17 levels with games on Friday nights, Saturday or Sunday mornings. We also aim to field girls teams in the All Girls Cricket Competition (AGCC) or get the girls to play in the Mixed teams in ISEC providing a fun, challenging and inclusive experience every step of the way.
Our youngest cricketers enjoy a Woolworths Cricket Blast program for 5-9 year olds, which is conducted on Saturday mornings from 9:30am at our main oval. Parents can be assured that we provide a responsible and caring structure for children who wish to experience the great game of cricket.
