Chepstow Cricket Club

Chepstow Cricket Club is one of the oldest cricket clubs in Wales, celebrating its 175th anniversary in 2013. It has three men's teams playing league cricket on Saturdays, with the 1st XI playing in the South Wales Premier League second division. We also run a ladies team and junior teams from u9 to u15. The club prides itself on the junior section which has produced the majority of our current first team squad. We have a number of junior members currently playing in various Glamorgan, Gloucestershire and Wales age groups. Notably in recent years Ben Kellaway (of Glamorgan, Welsh Fire and England Lions) has come through the junior setup here.

The current 1st team squad captained by Aaron Jones is relatively young, with several members at university in nearby Cardiff or recently graduated. After earning promotion back to the premier league after 4 years there between 2020 and 2024 the club feels it is the right time to back their ambitions and try to add the right type of player to the squad.
