Dartford is proud to be one of the world's oldest Cricket Clubs with a long and rich history dating back to 1727. The club celebrated it’s 275th anniversary in 2003. We are one of Kent's largest and leading clubs, and our home ground, Hesketh Park, having recently undergone a significant development of it's facilities, is one of the county’s finest grounds and a former home of Kent County Cricket Club. It is a wonderful setting for players and spectators on match days.
The club has a strong senior section with teams also playing at our grounds at Waller Park, Darenth & Oakfield Park, Wilmington. We also have a progressive Junior Section which is fully integrated into the club structure and provides an excellent coaching programme and practice facilities for young people aged 6 and above. There is a considerable fixture list for colts at all age levels with strong competitive teams from under 9s to under 17s.
Former England great Graham Dilley grew up playing his cricket at Dartford, as well as Kent’s Derek Ufton and Trevor Ward.
Dartford is an equal opportunities club which has held Focus Club and Clubmark status (awarded once again in 2018) for a number of years and is actively involved in the community.
The Club supports cricket on a number of levels with a keen interest in providing access to cricket for all. With the support of Dartford Borough Council we run a coaching program in Dartford schools. We also support cricket at District and County level for Kent. The club is also actively supporting the development of women's and disabled cricket.
