Galacticos Cricket Club

The Galacticos Cricket Club is Manhattan’s inner-city cricket club. Founded in September 2011 by Nikhil Puri, the club initially played friendly games a few times a year against clubs in the NY Tri-State area. In 2015, the Galacticos entered into the Premier Sunday competition of the NY Commonwealth Cricket League, an 80+ year old league played across many boroughs of New York City.

The purpose of the club is to provide an opportunity to cricketers who live in and around the Manhattan and New York City area a chance to play competitive, yet fun cricket. Our club’s motto is to play hard on the field to win, and enjoy a drink and a few laughs with each other afterwards.

Our club members come from varied parts of the cricketing world such as India, South Africa, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Australia. We are always looking to expand and in 2017 will start a second side that will likely enter a Saturday league.
