About Quarndon Cricket Club
Founded in 1884, Quarndon Cricket Club boasts a rich history of playing cricket having contested the majority of our cricket in Derbyshire’s Premier League. We were winners of the national Village Cup, contested at Lords in 1984. Past players of the club have included International players such as John Morris, Claude Henderson, Dominic Cork, and Boyd Rankin as well as first class players such as Adrian Rollins and Graeme Wagg.
The club facilities offer a stunning setting which include two grade A+ pitches. We are also improving the club house over this winter. The square and ground are maintained excellently by our groundsman who formally prepared Derbyshire’s pitches for the county championship.
We have a centre wicket cage practice every week for training. Steve Hollis, our Head of Cricket and Groundsman is an ECB Level 3 coach and offers his expertise to whomever would like assistance and is at the club five days a week for coaching if wanted.
