About Ripley Cricket Club

Ripley Cricket Club, founded in 1749, stands proudly as one of the oldest cricket clubs in the world, with its historic village-green ground. The club recently celebrated 275 years of cricket, marking its long-standing contribution to the sport both in Surrey and beyond.

Our academy section continues to grow, offering high-quality coaching and playing opportunities across multiple age groups. Whether developing core skills in younger players or supporting progressing into adult cricket, our pathway is designed to nurture talent at every stage.

We run two adult Saturday XIs, a competitive midweek T20 side, and a welcoming Sunday friendly XI, ensuring cricket for everyone, regardless of age and experience. Whether you’re aspiring to play league cricket or picking up a bat for the very first time, you’ll find a place at Ripley.

Ripley Cricket Club is also well known as the starting point of Ashley Giles, the former England international and 2005 Ashes hero. Giles grew up beside the Ripley village green, played his earliest cricket at the club.

If you’re interested in joining or would like to know more, please drop us a message, we’d love to welcome you into the Ripley CC community.
