About Shepparton Youth Club United Cricket Club
The Shepparton Youth Club United Cricket Club was formed in 2003 from the merger of Shepparton CC and Shepparton Youth Club CC.
Currently we field Senior and Junior Teams affiliated with Cricket Shepparton and our Women’s Teams play within the Goulburn Murray Cricket League. We also have an All-Abilities Program, culminating in the Harmony Cup Day.
Shepparton is located 2 hours north of Melbourne.
The township of Shepparton is in the heart of Victoria and is known as the “Food Bowl” of Australia with a large fruit growing and Dairy Industry. The Greater Shepparton area has a population of around 60,000 residents and is expanding daily.
Our main home ground is called Riordan Oval, which is a part of the Princess Park Sporting Precinct, located just a 5-minute walk to the Shepparton CBD and is surrounded by bush land and the Goulburn River. There are two grounds at this location, one turf and the other a hard wicket. Our training facilities are also located at the Princess Park precinct.
Our senior men’s teams compete in the 1st, 2nd and 4th divisions with Junior teams competing across the various age divisions. It is one of our clubs’ highest priorities to continue to develop our young cricketers to build them towards Senior Cricket.
We continue to foster a friendly social atmosphere off the ground and always try to be inclusive of our junior players and their families.
