About St Albans CC

The St Albans Cricket Club was formed in 1905 and 117 years later is still going strong as one of the few Christchurch clubs to remain intact without a merger.

We joined forces with the St Albans Women's Cricket Club in 1977 and have gone from strength-to-strength across both sections since.

We've won the overall symbol for Christchurch club supremacy - the Petersen Shield - a remarkable 19 times in the ensuing four decades.

The club has produced 14 men's and 25 women's international players and a further 104 Canterbury players across both genders.

Our home base is the 173-acre South Hagley Park, with 11 pitches for all ages and levels from juniors right up to Premier grade, with the pavilion sited on New Zealand's newest Test venue, Hagley Oval.
