Whitwell Cricket Club

Whitwell is a friendly, welcoming, community club based in North East Derbyshire that has been around for over 120 years. The club runs two Saturday senior teams; one in the top Bassetlaw Championship Division, the other in Division 2. The junior section is continuing to build with coaching for 5 - 8 , 8 - 11 years olds and teams for Under 11's along with Under 13's.

The club is in a village of around 4000 people and is at the heart of the community with a good social atmosphere. The 1st XI has a strong supporter following and home games are well attended throughout the year. With an average age of under 30 the team have been together for a number of years now and enjoy socialising in the pub after training and games.
