Winnington Park Cricket Club is based in the village of Winnington on the outskirts of Northwich. We're a family friendly club that boasts a strong social section on top of it's three senior teams and a flourishing junior section.
Ahead of the 2022 cricket season, the club is keen to increase it's playing membership, with players of all abilities and levels of experience welcome! Here's some more information on our teams;
The 2021 season saw our 1st XI win promotion to Cheshire Cricket League Division 1, winning 15 of their 22 league games. Predominantly made up of 22-35 year olds, the 1st XI now seeks new players to sustain a position in Division 1 in 2022.
Our 2nd XI is a young team, with a scattering of experienced cricketers that have represented the 1st XI in the past. Our Sunday XI plays regular friendly fixtures throughout the Summer, and is used as a development opportunity for younger players and those progressing from junior cricket. Both our 2nd XI and Sunday XI seek new players to bolster the number of playing members available to the Captains.
Winter training will commence on Sunday 23rd January 2022 at The Grange School in Hartford, and run for 10 weeks until the start of the season. We're interested to hear from any player interested in having a conversation about joining Winnington Park Cricket Club ahead of the 2022 season. So please get in touch!
As well as cricket, we have year round activities including; a winter 6-a-side football team, regular rounds of golf and trips to local pubs/bars.
