Introducing Club Team Accounts

Running a cricket club is rarely a one-person job. Recruitment, adverts, player conversations, applications, and admin often sit across a committee, coaching team, secretary, or recruitment lead.

That is why we are introducing Club Team Accounts: a new way for clubs to invite trusted team members into a shared Cricketer Exchange club account, while keeping ownership, billing, and account control clear.

This update is designed to make collaboration easier for clubs without compromising privacy, accountability, or security.

One Club Account, Multiple Team Members

Until now, each club account has effectively been managed by one login. That worked well for smaller clubs, but many clubs have more than one person involved in recruitment and player communication.

With Club Team Accounts, the club owner can invite other people to help manage the club account.

Team members can help with day-to-day club activity, including:

• Managing club activity
• Viewing and responding to relevant messages
• Working with adverts and applications
• Accessing shared club saved searches
• Helping the club stay responsive to players

The club owner remains in control of the account.

Clear Owner And Member Roles

Club Team Accounts introduce two simple roles:

Owner
The owner controls billing, subscription access, and team management. They can invite members, remove members, and manage the club’s paid access.

Member
Members can help operate the club account, but they cannot manage billing or control the team.

This keeps responsibility clear. A club can collaborate more easily, while sensitive account controls stay with the owner.

Shared Club Messaging

Club messaging is also being improved for team use.

When a club member replies to a player, the message is shown as coming from the club. This gives players a simple, consistent experience: they are speaking with the club, not trying to work out which individual committee member is behind each reply.

Behind the scenes, Cricketer Exchange still keeps the right accountability. Messages are associated with the person who actually sent them, while the player-facing experience remains club-based.

Club members can also access the shared club conversation history, so new team members can pick up conversations without losing context.

Shared Saved Searches

Saved searches are becoming club-aware too.

When a club creates a saved search, it can be shared with the club team. That means multiple members can see useful searches instead of each person needing to recreate the same filters.

Email notifications are privacy-friendly by default:

• The person who creates the saved search receives emails by default.
• Other club members can opt in if they want updates.
• Each person gets their own unsubscribe link.
• Removed members no longer receive club saved-search notifications.

This gives clubs shared visibility without forcing extra emails on everyone.

Privacy And Access Protection

A major focus of this release is making sure club access stays secure.

Members can only see details for the club they belong to. They cannot access another club’s information, inbox, saved searches, adverts, or applications.

If a member is removed from a club, they lose access to the shared club areas. If they need access again later, the owner can re-invite them.

Invitees will also be clearly told that club messages are shared with everyone on the club account before they join.

Billing Stays With The Owner

Members can help run the club account, but billing remains owner-only.

That means members cannot:

• Start or manage subscriptions
• Activate trials
• Change billing details
• Access payment management controls
• Invite or remove other team members

If a member views the billing area, they will see that billing is managed by the club owner.

Built For Real Club Workflows

This feature is designed for how clubs actually work.

A head coach might handle recruitment conversations. A secretary might manage account admin. A committee member might monitor applications. A club owner might oversee billing and team access.

Club Team Accounts allow those people to work together from one shared club presence, while keeping the right boundaries in place.
