Worcestershire County League Division 1 team looking for Australian/New Zealand overseas player for 2026 season

Colwall Cricket Club is a thriving, friendly and established club set in the Malvern Hills in England, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. In 2020 we won the National Village knock-out cup at Lords and we have excellent connections to both Worcestershire and Herefordshire County Cricket Boards

We run 6 adult teams throughout the season, including three Saturday league sides, a Sunday development side and two mid week teams. Additionally, we have vibrant and growing junior and women’s sections. In 2024/25 our first team were promoted from Worcestershire league division 2 to division 1. The first team narrowly missed out on promotion to the Worcestershire Premier League last season, but you will be joining a thriving, happy club and a young and vibrant squad that is well placed to move to the next level.

We would like to recruit an opening bowler or all-rounder for the 2025/26 season, playing from early April until mid-September 2026.

You will be recruited to work as in a GAP placement support role at one of England’s top preparatory schools with a good remuneration package (and a very short walk from the ground). This includes free board, accommodation and salary. There is also potential for remuneration of flight costs for the right candidate.

You will need 21 or under, either a British passport or be prepared to support boarding duties in a school in a beautiful part of England.

All players shortlisted will be invited to an online Teams conversation, followed by a recruitment/interview process, led by the school. You will also be asked to provide at least 2 references.

I arrived to start the 2023 season and thoroughly enjoyed my time, ultimately staying for three seasons.
