Never Miss the Perfect Player Again: Introducing Saved Searches
Finding the right cricketer for your club just got easier. We're excited to announce our new Saved Search feature - a powerful tool designed to help clubs discover talented players without the constant manual searching.
What Are Saved Searches?
Saved Searches allow you to save your player search criteria and receive automatic email notifications when new players register who match what you're looking for. Think of it as having a dedicated scout working for you 24/7, alerting you the moment a suitable player becomes available.
Why Use Saved Searches?
Save Time and Effort
Stop repeatedly searching for the same criteria. Set up your search once and let our system do the work for you.
Never Miss an Opportunity
Be among the first clubs to discover newly registered players who match your requirements. When a player signs up who meets your criteria, you'll receive a notification within 24 hours.
Stay Organised
Create multiple saved searches for different positions or player types. Looking for a fast bowler and a wicket keeper? Save separate searches for each role and manage them all in one place.
Focus on What Matters
Spend less time searching and more time engaging with potential players, reviewing profiles, and building your team.
How to Set Up a Saved Search
Getting started with Saved Searches is simple and takes less than a minute:
Step 1: Perform Your Search
- Navigate to the Player Search page
- Enter your search criteria using the search bar and filters
- Apply filters such as:
- Player Type (Batsman, Bowler, All Rounder, Wicket Keeper)
- Country/Location
- Bowling Style (e.g., Right-arm fast, Left-arm spin)
- Batting Style (e.g., Right-hand bat, Left-hand bat)
- Experience Level
- Availability
Step 2: Save Your Search
- Once you've refined your search criteria, click the "Save Search" button
- A dialog will appear asking you to name your search
- Choose a descriptive name (e.g., "Fast Bowlers - UK County Experience")
Step 3: Configure Notifications
Select your notification preference:
- Daily digest (recommended): Receive one email per day summarising all new matches from the past 24 hours
- Never notify me: Save the search for quick access without email notifications
Step 4: Save and Relax
Click "Save Search" and you're done. Our system will now monitor for new players matching your criteria.

Best Practices for Saved Searches
Be Specific But Not Too Narrow
Strike a balance between precision and opportunity. Very specific searches may yield few results, while overly broad searches can be overwhelming.
Example - Too Narrow: "Right-arm fast bowler, 25-28 years old, from Mumbai, with First Class experience, available immediately"
Example - Too Broad: "Any player from anywhere"
Example - Just Right: "Fast bowlers from India with County or First Class experience"
Create Multiple Targeted Searches
Instead of one massive search, create several focused searches:
- "Opening Batsmen - UK Based"
- "Spin Bowlers - International Experience"
- "All Rounders - Available for Season"
Use Descriptive Names
Choose search names that clearly indicate what you're looking for:
- Good: "Off-spin bowlers for summer season"
- Not ideal: "Search 1"
Review and Update Regularly
- Check your saved searches monthly
- Remove outdated searches
- Update criteria based on changing team needs
- Adjust notification settings seasonally
Act Quickly on Notifications
When you receive a notification about new matches:
- Review profiles promptly
- Reach out to interesting candidates quickly
- Other clubs may be searching for similar players
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change the notification time?
Currently, daily notifications are sent at the same time each day.
Will I be notified about players who were already on the platform?
No, you'll only receive notifications about new players who register their profiles to match your criteria after you create your saved search.
Can I share my saved searches with other club administrators?

How do I stop receiving notifications?
You can either:
- Change the notification setting to "Never notify me" in your saved search settings
- Click the unsubscribe link in any notification email
