Stay Organised: Introducing Message Archiving
Managing your cricket recruitment conversations just got a whole lot easier
We've all been there. Your inbox is overflowing with messages from past seasons, old enquiries, and conversations that have run their course. You're trying to find that important message from a club that's actively recruiting, but you're scrolling through dozens of threads that are no longer relevant. Sound familiar?
A Cleaner Inbox Without Losing Important Conversations
Today, we're excited to introduce Message Archiving to Cricketer Exchange. This new feature gives you complete control over your messaging inbox, allowing you to tuck away completed conversations whilst keeping your active discussions front and centre.
The best part? When someone sends you a new message on an archived thread, it automatically pops back into your active inbox. You'll never miss an opportunity because a conversation was archived.
What This Means for You
For Clubs:
- Keep your recruitment inbox focused on current opportunities
- Archive conversations with players you've already signed or who've declined
- Reduce clutter whilst maintaining a complete message history
- Your archived count won't inflate your unread message badge
For Players:
- Easily manage conversations across multiple opportunities
- Archive clubs you're no longer interested in without deleting the thread
- Stay focused on your active prospects
- Automatically resurface archived threads when clubs follow up
How It Works
Using Message Archiving is straightforward:
- Open any conversation and click the dropdown menu (three dots)
- Select "Archive" to move it out of your active inbox
- Use the filter buttons to view Active, Archived, or All messages
- If someone messages you on an archived thread, it automatically returns to your active inbox
The feature works independently for each user, so archiving a conversation on your end won't affect the other person's view.
Why We Built This
Over the past 11 years, we've listened carefully to how clubs and players use Cricketer Exchange. One consistent piece of feedback was the challenge of managing message threads that span multiple seasons. We wanted to give you the tools to stay organised without losing valuable conversation history.
This is just the beginning. We're continually working to make Cricketer Exchange more intuitive and efficient for connecting Australian cricketers with UK opportunities.
Have feedback on Message Archiving? We'd love to hear from you. Drop us a message through the platform or reach out via our contact page.
Happy recruiting!
