Position Details
Wallington Cricket Club is a welcoming, ambitious community‑based club located on the outskirts of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. We pride ourselves on a strong club culture, clear on‑field standards, and an inclusive environment where players genuinely enjoy being part of the club.
The Player We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a young medium/fast opening bowler to play a key role in our First XI for the 2026/27 season.
The ideal player will:
Be capable of leading the attack with the new ball
Show consistency and an competitive edge
Contribute with the bat as a lower‑order hitter (ability to add quick, valuable runs is highly regarded)
Set standards on training nights and on match days
Buy into a team‑first, positive club environment
Our First XI has made regular finals in recent seasons and is ready to take the next step by pushing for promotion to Division 1 and a premiership flag.
Cricket Details
Training: Tuesday & Thursday evenings
Matches: Saturdays
Format: Mix of one‑day and two‑day cricket
Season: October to March
All matches played on synthetic (hard‑wicket) pitches (no turf)
Eligibility (Essential)
Applicants must be:
A British passport holder or dual citizen, or
Eligible for an Australian Working Holiday Visa
